It's almost time for the HOLIDAYS!!!

This week was our first week with Ms. McLaughlin. We had a fun-filled week. Wednesday, we went to Old Salem for the Candle Tea. It was soo cold! We were all freezing. We got to see the bakery, the Single Sister's House Museum  and lots of cool buildings in Old Salem. It was neat to see how they made candles out of beeswax! Oh yea, we also got to taste some yummy Moravian cookies!

In Math this week we started working on temperature and measurement. In Science, we are still working on the Solar System and we hope to finish our mobiles next week. We wrote some amazing folk tales this week and read a wonderful folktale about a hare and bear.

Next week is a busy week as we are getting closer to winter break!
We will begin telling time in math and will work on text structure in reading.

Thursday December 16, is our HOLIDAY party! We will eat yummy snacks and enjoy making crafts.

Parents, please continue to read with your child each night at home and start working on telling time! As always review of multiplication is always a BIG help!

Thanks!!
